Mindfulness - Thursday 25 January 2018, 13.30 – 16:00

Mindfulness is a practice that individuals can do on a day-to-day basis. It can enable people to change the way they think and feel about their experiences, especially stressful experiences. As a mind-body approach, it can increase our ability to manage difficult situations and make wise choices

Throughout this taster you will be more aware how to be Mindful and learn some practical exercises.

Speaking with Confidence - Thursday 22 January 2018, 13.30 – 16:00

Good communication is the key to success, whether you're speaking in front of a large audience or trying to get a point across to a new friend. If you want to know how to speak well and confidently, you've got to believe in yourself, speak slowly and carefully, and have strong convictions about what you're saying. If you want to gain confidence in public speaking this taster course is for you.

Dyslexia and Dyspraxia Awareness - Thursday 29 March 2018, 13.30 – 16:00

Dyslexia and dyspraxia are examples of ‘Specific Learning Difficulties’. These frequently overlap. In fact, both dyslexia and dyspraxia can often co-exist in the same person. This course will help learners to recognise the signs of dyslexia and dyspraxia as well as understand the interventions that can be used for support.  In this taster session you will develop an awareness of dyslexia and dyspraxia.

These courses are open to reps, members, families and friends.
