PCS Wales is holding a Holocaust Memorial Day Event on Monday 21 January at Transport House Cardiff.
HMD is the day for everyone to remember the millions of people killed in the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution and in subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur. On HMD we can honour the survivors of these regimes of hatred and challenge ourselves to use the lessons of their experience to inform our lives today.
We have a walk in display where members can look at information as well as listen to audio interviews of survivor stories – all are welcome to come and view between 10:00am to 5pm.
A Candlelit Vigil will take place outside the building at 13:30. Information is also listed on our Facebook page please share and invite colleagues.
Part of the display will be a commemorative Wall of Memories and we would like all members to get involved – if you would like to send a picture to be added to the wall that reflects an important memory to you or this year’s theme “Torn From Home” please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org – you can include reasons why this is important to you which will go on the display board or just send us a picture.
