Return to Workplace plans and failed Government COVID-19 strategy
We are writing this open letter on behalf of the PCS union Home Office group with regard to the Prime Ministers’ announcement on 22 September concerning a change in government guidance and regulations on COVID-19 related safety matters.
New government Covid-19 rules state office workers who can work effectively from home should do so. PCS has called on Home Office to allow any member of staff who can work from home to be allowed to do so.
The group executive committee (GEC) has considered the position in relation to PCS members completing the staff survey.
Results from PCS Learning identifies areas where department must improve support for apprentices.
PCS has written to the Permanent Secretary and Second Permanent Secretary of the Home Office in response to government plans to get 80% of civil servants back into workplaces.
