An all members meeting will be held on Tuesday 4 August, for which paid time off has been agreed, to dsicuss the potential return to workplaces.
We are aware that the Covid-19 national emergency has presented significant concerns, issues and challenges for members. The Covid-19 negotiating team have continued to meet with employer representatives to progress issues throughout the period of lockdown. We are pleased that the collaborative approach to date has ensured that the health, safety and wellbeing of members remains the number one priority.
In the CPS over 90% of staff are remote working and for those members whose role is essential and can only be undertaken from the workplace we have successfully negotiated safe guards, a union agreed risk assessment to ensure workplaces are safe and a covid-19 court deployment protocol.
We have made significant progress for members in the CPS and continue to work with employer representatives to ensure that the PCS 5 key tests for safe return to work are met.
We recognise that the changing government advice is presenting concerns for members and we are inviting all members to meet with the Covid-19 negotiating team to inform negotiations.
An all members meeting will be held on Tuesday 4 August, 12:30 – 13:30, via Zoom. The event will be chaired by CPS group president Steve Thorley who will be joined by the Covid-19 negotiating team. The panel members will collectively answer all questions submitted.
To submit a question in advance of the meeting please email email@example.com. Please ensure that the subject header is marked ‘CPS members meeting question’.
