Pay talks delayed further due to the forthcoming General Election
We finally presented our oral evidence to the Prison Service Pay Review Body (PRB) on 27 April 2017. A revised timetable (caused entirely by HMPPS management and HM Treasury) indicates that the pay review body should now be able to submit their recommendations to the Secretary of state by early July.
This will result in delays to the 2017-18 pay negotiations for non PRB remit staff. However we are due to have opening discussions with the employer on 19th June 2017. PCS will be pushing for consolidated pay awards for all members of staff, those who have and have not yet signed in to fair and sustainable
