About PCS Midlands

We have over 25,000 members in the Midlands region and whilst the bulk of these work in the larger government departments like DWP and HMRC, we organise and have members that are unique and based almost entirely in our region.

These include organisations like:

  • Ofwat
  • Ofqual
  • The Legal Ombudsman
  • The Gambling Commission.

In addition to these the national offices of the Skills Funding Agency and the Driving Standards Agency are based in our region.

In the Midlands region of PCS we pride ourselves on not just our workplace organisation, but also on our community based groups, namely the town committees. We have town and city committees that meet regularly, details can be found on these web pages. If you want to join or be part of your town committees please make contact with your local leader.

These local groups are integral to our organising projects, our education programme and political campaigning. They are also there to promote the national campaigns as well as local ones and ensure that the most is made of days of action. These committees are our links to both the community and other unions in the localities.

These town committees link into the PCS Midlands regional committee that support the work of the Regional office.
