Army hybrid working

Areas that resist embracing the new hybrid possibilities are stepping outside of MOD policy.

The PCS team within the Army TLB are receiving reports about Heads of Establishments and line managers demanding rigid set days per week for some staff returning to the workplace. We have briefed members and line management chains on the direction the MoD has published, covering the need to avoid presenteeism, a drift back to pre-covid set-ups, and how the delivery of the role, taking in to account the circumstances, the needs of the area, and the desire by the MoD to move to new flexible ways of working all need to be factored in to any RTW. We have stressed that areas that resist embracing the new hybrid possibilities are stepping outside of MOD policy and may find it difficult in future to fill vacant positions, as word spreads about their inflexible approach to the Future Workplace Strategy.
