Celebrating Black History Month: Success Profiles

Join us on Thursday 21 October for our third event for Black History Month where we will be looking at Success Profiles.

According to the Gov.UK website, Success Profiles “will enable a fairer and more inclusive method of recruitment by enabling us to assess the range of experiences, abilities, strengths, behaviours and technical/professional skills required for different roles. This flexible approach to recruitment focuses more on finding the right candidate for the specific role.”

Iain Howie, Workers Educational Association (WEA) employability tutor and Kim Hendry, PCS learning officer, will host a webinar on the civil service recruitment process. The webinar will run from 6 – 7:30pm and be held on Zoom.

The webinar will provide support for members seeking to understand how the civil service’s Success Profiles application process works, and how you can improve your chances of success when applying for job roles.

The webinar is open to all black* members and allies.

You can register on  Eventbrite up until 9am Thursday 21 October.

If you have any queries or accessibility requirements for the webinar, please contact Laure Djida, national black members’ secretary at laure@pcs.org.uk

* PCS uses the term black in the political context to apply to people from African and Asia diasporas, including people of dual heritage.
