CPS PCS members' meetings

PCS is holding members' meetings for Crown Prosecution Service members to discuss excess flexi credits/deficits and plans for returns to the workplace for those working remotely.

Return to workplaces

We are pleased that the current arrangements in terms of members who wish to work remotely and those who need to or want to be in the workplace continue to be supported by the employer. This is consistent with the national PCS approach. We do however recognise the need to continue to engage with employer representatives and work collaboratively to develop the future working proposals to ensure our members are kept safe at work.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank members who completed the recent PCS survey on working arrangements. The responses have given the negotiating team a clear understanding of the views of members that will form our representations to the employer. We are now arranging some members meetings to discuss these results with members and will be providing you with details of the results in advance.

Excess flexi credits/deficits

You will be aware from our previous update and from communications shared by your area/division/directorate that there is an issue in relation to excess flexi time balances on the Oracle IT system. Discussions with the employer in relation to potential solutions to the issues are ongoing and we are hopeful that we will be in a position to share an update on the proposed remedial action at the arranged members meetings.

The meetings have been arranged for mid-October to allow us the opportunity to continue to engage with employer representatives on this matter, which is widespread. Our position remains that no members should lose any flexi credit that has been accrued.

The meetings will be held on 12, 13, 20 and 21 October. You will only need to attend one meeting. There is no need to register for the meetings which will be held via teams. To join, click the link for the meeting you wish to join.
