Extra PCS strike school dates added
The PCS annual delegate conference in May voted to hold a strike ballot on pay, pensions and the Civil Service Compensation Scheme.
We have held a series of training sessions in every region and nation over the past couple of weeks, attended by hundreds of people. But if you haven’t yet taken part there are more sessions for you to sign up for.
Sessions last a maximum of 2 hours and cover:
- overcoming barriers
- contacting members
- organising tools and tactics.
Facilities time is not available for these sessions – we are discussing how to win an industrial action ballot.
We have a huge task ahead of us to win a ballot, and to beat the government’s 50% strike ballot turn-out threshold. Branches must get the postal ballot address and personal contact details of every member up to date before a ballot can begin and must speak to every member about the importance of voting. Every vote will count.
All PCS reps, and any member interested in assisting in the vital work this summer to deliver a successful strike ballot, are invited to attend one of the virtual strike school sessions.
For online registration click on the date you wish to attend (login to PCS Digital required).
If you haven’t registered for PCS Digital all you need to do on the online form is enter your surname, your first name and then your PCS membership number, which has 7 digits and starts with a P (you'll find it on any emails you've had from us).
