Free Palestine Demonstration Saturday 14 May 2022

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign is organising a demonstration and march in conjunction with a number of other organisations.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign, to which PCS is affiliated, is organising a demonstration in London on 14 May against 74 years of Israel’s practice of apartheid in Palestine.  74 years ago, over 750,000 Palestinians were displaced from their homes, and over 500 villages and cities in Palestine were destroyed.

Last year hundreds of thousands marched through the streets of London, and around the country, in solidarity with Palestinians and to protest against Israel’s bombardment of Gaza and continued ethnic cleansing in East Jerusalem.

Human Rights Watch published a report in April 2021, A Threshold Crossed, Israeli Authorities and the Crimes of Apartheid and Persecution, which is a detailed legal analysis based on the international crimes of apartheid or persecution in the areas where Israeli authorities exercise control. B’Tselem (Israel’s leading human rights organisation), says the report “must now serve as an urgent wake-up call for the international community, to finally take concrete action in rejection of apartheid and in support of human rights, democracy and justice.”

The Palestinian people need our solidarity now more than ever. Join us on Saturday 14 May to call for an end to Israel’s oppression and to assert the right of the Palestinian people to live in freedom with justice and equality.

Assemble 12 noon, Portland Place W1A (by the BBC) London.
