Fujitsu ballot opens for strike action over pay

PCS members working on government contracts for Fujitsu Services UK have received only a 1.5% pay offer.

PCS members working on government contracts for Fujitsu Services UK will from today be sent ballot papers in a dispute over a derisory 1.5% pay offer.

Our pay claim is for 7.5% or £1750 cash underpin which is based on inflation and a catch-up element for the years of below inflation rises our members have endured. If the members vote for action, the subsequent strike could hit people completing their self-assessment tax forms in the new year.

The ballot opens today and closes on 14 January 2025.

PCS general secretary Fran Heathcote said: “Managers at Fujitsu have told our members they can afford only a 1.5% pay rise, which is nonsense when the company recorded a 7.2% profit earlier in the year.

Replacement ballot papers

All members that require a replacement ballot paper must request it online by logging into your PCS Digital account where you can also check and update your details if necessary.

PCS Digital online requests will open at noon on Friday 27 December and the deadline for requesting a replacement is 5pm  on Wednesday 1 January 2025.
