Members in PT Ops, employer services based at Benton Park View in Newcastle have delivered a resounding message to the employer over the sacking of 3 PCS reps, Rachel Farmer, Gordon Askew and Joel Hamilton. Refusal to resolve the dispute
PCS has repeatedly made clear to HMRC that they could avoid this action by resolving the dispute, ending the victimisation of PCS reps and re-appointing the three sacked reps, however they have refused to do so, leaving members with no option other than to go on strike to defend the reps who fight for them in the workplace.
8 weeks from 23 December
Members in PT Ops will start discontinuous strike action on 23 December and will be out until 14 February unless HMRC listens to reason and reverses the dismissals. To support the workers taking action, strike pay from the PCS fighting fund will be paid to all those taking part in the action.
