ONS to impose pay offer

The majority of union members voted to reject the pay offer.

PCS, FDA and Prospect unions met with management on 15 June, where our representations were made following the recent pay ballot where the majority of union members, PCS & FDA, voted to reject the ONS pay offer.

Despite indications from management that they were prepared to listen to our viewpoints and suggestions for a way forward, ONS have decided to disregard the opinion of our members and impose the offer. This is an incredibly disappointing result.

Your group executive committee  (GEC) believes that members deserve a pay award that, is fair, equitable, fully consolidated and that recognises the hard work and dedication of staff. Unfortunately ONS management do not hold this view.

The GEC thanks members for your participation in the pay ballot and we will soon issue details of the work that has begun on the 2021/22 negotiations.
