PCS attempts to settle dispute at Royal Parks

PCS has written to Andrew Scattergood, the chief executive officer of Royal Parks, asking him to intervene in the dispute with Just Ask Services.

Cleaners and toilet attendants working for Just Ask Services in the Royal Parks voted 100% in a ballot to take strike action over pay, job cuts and forced mobility. We are calling for their contracts to be brought into line with directly employed Royal Parks staff including sick pay parity and decent pensions.

We have reminded the CEO that although the dispute is with Just Ask Services, Royal Parks have set the scene by granting the contract that has staff cuts, forced mobility and poor pay built into it. Just Ask Services are refusing to settle the dispute without extra money from the Royal Parks and therefore we are asking Andrew Scattergood to intervene to settle the dispute.

PCS members working for Just Ask Services are striking on Friday 30 July with a rally at 9.30 at Royal Parks HQ, Old Police House, Hyde Park. Everyone is welcome to come along to the rally to show support.
