PCS launches consultative ballot at the DVLA

The electronic ballot aims to gauge members’ views on the ongoing dispute over safety.

The ballot will run from 11 August to 3 September and marks an important stage in the dispute with the DVLA, assessing progress to date and gaining a mandate from members about future action. Members will be asked about priorities for a deal to end the dispute and whether they would be in support of further strike action and action short of a strike.

It is important that members take the opportunity to give their opinion through this ballot. It is not a statutory ballot which is a legal requirement to take strike action.

The ballot will run at the same time as current strike action but does not effect the action that is taking place at present.

How to vote

Voting details will be sent to members’ personal email addresses. The email will be sent from vote@ukevote.uk by 7pm on 11 August, so please check your junk/spam folder if you haven’t received it.

If you haven’t registered your personal email address with PCS please add it now by logging into PCS Digital or emailing pcs@dvla.gov.uk.

Throughout the ballot period, PCS will be phoning members to remind them to vote and to help with any issues in accessing the consultative ballot. Please answer the call which will come from 0207 801 2798.

If you don’t have a personal email address, a ballot paper will be sent to your home address.
