PCS National Disabled Members’ Seminars

The NDMF is running four online sessions on the theme of Disability and Hidden Impairments during Disability History Month.

The theme of Disability and Hidden Impairments is the theme for Disability History Month 2021.

Each 90-minute seminar session will be held from 12-1:30 on Teams and repeated the same evening from 6-7:30 pm on Zoom.

Tuesday 23 November

The first session will explain reasonable adjustments, the Access to Work scheme and workplace adjustment passports and their importance in supporting disabled members in the workplace.

Thursday 25 November

The second session will look at Long Covid, returning to work and the impacts of both on disabled members.

Thursday 2 December

The third session will examine disability discrimination cases and disability legislation.

Tuesday 7 December

The final session will reflect on the theme for Disability History Month, drawing on 100 years of disability history since the 1920s, to create a positive and forward-looking event.

At each seminar, members will hear from speakers and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and share experiences.  BSL interpreters and closed captioning will be available. All sessions will be recorded and available afterwards. Please register in advance on Eventbrite.
