PCS serves notice of industrial action ballot on OCS

PCS has today, (25 June), served notice to OCS of the intention to ballot all OCS members working on the HMCTS contract for industrial action with the ballot set to open on 2 July.

This action follows a disgraceful move from the outsourcing company to renege on the pay settlement agreement reached during dispute resolution talks that was accepted by the overwhelming majority of members. OCS’s actions are callous and shameful and our members are ready to launch a further campaign in defence of pay.

Our members on the contract, who are security officers, have worked tirelessly since March to keep courts operational in unprecedented and challenging times. Often this has involved putting the health and safety of court users above their own health and safety.

It is a disgraceful insult that OCS has proposed to reward these efforts by ripping up the pay settlement agreement. Our members are outraged, angry, and disgusted.
