Sign up online to be a PCS Advocate
The key to a stronger PCS is greater participation by members in the day-to-day running of their union at the local level.
Advocates are members who actively support their union and want to get more involved. It is the next step along for members interested in union activity. They help build the strength of their union where they work.
If you are willing to help out a little, we hold regular, 1-hour introductory training sessions which let you know about how you can play a role in your union as a workplace advocate.
To complete the online form you just need your name, PCS membership number and a valid personal email address. Once you have been set up as an advocate on our membership system, our national organising team will contact you and also let your branch know that you have registered as an advocate.
You will then receive regular updates from PCS, but there are some things that you can do all the time:
- Let any new starters at work know that you are in the union and tell them why they should join
- Ask a friend to join the union
- Ask your work colleagues to register as a union advocate
- Help to make sure your workplace is a union workplace.
We really value your support. Any questions? Email firstname.lastname@example.org
