Submit your emergency motions

Motions online is now live for your branch to submit emergency motions and references back.

Our standing orders committee (SOC) has published the Motions book, which lists the motions to be debated at our annual delegate conference in May.

122 motions have been marked "A" for debate at conference, including one composite motion.

Emergency motions can now be submitted to cover events or issues that have come up since the closing date of original motions.

From 22 April branches can also submit references back. This is a challenge to the standing orders report, for example the running order of motions on the agenda or where motions have been ruled out of order or have not been accepted for other reasons. If the reference back is accepted, then branch delegates will move the reference back at conference and explain why they want it. The SOC will speak for or against, then all delegates vote.

The deadline for the receipt of EMs and RBs is Friday 17 May at 3pm. Any submissions received after 17 May will be considered as late and disregarded.
