Support our Facilities Management strikers at the FCDO
We have launched an e-action calling on Philip Barton, Permanent Secretary of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to intervene and resolve the ongoing disputes with OCS and G4S.
PCS members employed by OCS and G4S as cleaners, caterers, and security officers at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in East Kilbride are in dispute with their employer over, pay terms and conditions after both companies failed to table acceptable pay offers.
The members are currently taking strike action which is planned to continue for the rest of December and into early January.
PCS believes it is unacceptable that there has been no intervention from FCDO to resolve the dispute on FCDO outsourced contracts. and that the permanent secretary should act now to ensure an acceptable settlement for our members.
Get Involved
Please complete our e-action which sends an email to the permanent secretary, calling on him to ensure parity of pay, terms and conditions for PCS members working on FCDO outsourced contracts.
Our members are tired of being treated as second class citizens in a government workplace. They deliver vital services to ensure the continued successful delivery of FCDO functions, yet they continue to be forced onto the legal statutory minimum annual leave entitlement and get no company sick pay. It is time they were rewarded for their efforts via a pay offer that significantly improves pay, terms and conditions and recognises the role they play in keeping the FCDO operational.
