Support People’s Assembly protests – cost of living crisis
On the eve of our national consultative ballot on pay, pensions and cost of living, it is important that there is a PCS presence at every one of the protests being held across the UK. PCS is affiliated to the People’s Assembly and encourages reps and members to attend, where it is safe for you to do so.
PCS speakers will address the following protests:
- Newcastle - Fran Heathcote, National President
- Liverpool - Martin Cavanagh, Deputy President
- Bristol - Hannah David, NEC, South West region chair and SW TUC Chair
- Nottingham- Paul Williams, NEC
- Glasgow - Liz McGachey, NEC.
However, there are activities in more than 23 towns and cities. To find what is happening near you, the latest details of all local events can be found on the People’s Assembly website.
It is likely that these will be the first of many local campaign activities in the coming weeks on the cost of living crisis that will be coordinated by the People’s Assembly. We want to play our full part in working with other unions and campaign groups to have the voices of our members included.
