Talks start but Royal Parks strike is still on

PCS has had a first, and constructive discussion, with Just Ask Services, the company that employs cleaners and toilet attendants for the Royal Parks.

We put six demands on the company, and we think progress can be made on 3 of them.

That still leaves proposed job cuts, forced mobility and parity between Jusk Ask employees and those working directly for Royal Parks. It is clear that a lot of work will have to be done on those issues until a possible agreement could be reached. Therefore the strike on Friday (30 July) is still on.

PCS, which is working closely with the United Voices of the World union, is calling on all in the trade union and labour movement to join our rally at 9.30am on Friday outside Royal Parks HQ, the Old Police House, Hyde Park.
