TUC Black Workers' Conference 6-8 May

PCS is looking for two observers to join our delegation at the conference in London.

The TUC will be holding its Black Workers' Conference from Friday 6 May until Sunday 8 May 2022 at the TUC Congress House. We would like to invite two members who identify as Black* to attend the conference as observers. There is no set criteria, but this would benefit someone who has not had the opportunity to attend before. They would learn how conference is conducted, observe debates, and have the option to attend fringe meetings.

If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please express your interest by email to equality@pcs.org.uk with your name, membership number, a contact number and a brief paragraph stating why you would like to be considered.

Please email no later than 12pm on 4 March 2022. Depending on the level of interest, a sift may be carried out as we only have 2 observers required to attend from PCS.

Travel, subsistence and accommodation (if you are selected and live outside London) will be provided by PCS.

*Please note: PCS uses the term black in the political context to apply to people from African and Asia diasporas, including people of dual heritage.
