TUC Congress: fighting for fair pensions and safe working

The fight for fair pensions and safe working will be highlighted by PCS at the 3-day TUC Congress, which starts on Sunday.

Our delegates are speaking on a variety of issues from the start of Congress at 2pm on Sunday (12) to its end at 12.30pm on Tuesday (14). These include:

  • Pensions – register now for our online fringe meeting at 12.30pm on Tuesday
  • Covid, including our safety campaign at the DVLA
  • Universal Basic Income
  • Rights and democracy
  • Universal Credit
  • Key workers
  • Racism
  • Fire and rehire
  • Palestine.

We are also supporting the People’s Assembly online pre-conference rally at noon on Sunday (12), chaired by PCS President Fran Heathcote, with PCS General Secretary Mark Serwotka among the speakers. The rally will debate how the labour movement can fight the Tories’ attacks on working people.

Mark is also speaking at the Trade Union Coordinating Group’s online fringe meeting at 12.30pm on Monday (13), Fighting for justice - fair pay for key workers.

The open sessions of Congress will be streamed live on the TUC website. Unlike last year, it is a delegate conference.

We will be posting regular updates in the news section of this website under the tag TUC Congress, and on social media with the hashtag #TUC2021
