PCS members at the Plas Menai National Outdoor Centre for Wales, near Caernarfon, are facing the threat of their jobs being transferred to a private employer.

Industrial action works, and inspires others to stand up and say ‘enough is enough’, said the chair of the PCS parliamentary group as he delivered the group’s annual report to conference the day after delegates agreed to ballot over pay and pensions.

PCS is well placed to fight back against the many issues facing members – from the cost-of-living crisis, to attacks on members’ pay, pensions and conditions, to the UK’s “nasty right-wing” government – said national president Fran Heathcote

PCS members who have been engaged in sustained strike action at the DVLA to make their workplace safe were congratulated by TUC Congress.
