Low-paid cleaners, security guards, receptions workers, post and porterage staff working at BEIS employed by ISS have voted overwhelmingly to strike over health and safety and leave entitlements.

Industrial action works, and inspires others to stand up and say ‘enough is enough’, said the chair of the PCS parliamentary group as he delivered the group’s annual report to conference the day after delegates agreed to ballot over pay and pensions.

PCS is well placed to fight back against the many issues facing members – from the cost-of-living crisis, to attacks on members’ pay, pensions and conditions, to the UK’s “nasty right-wing” government – said national president Fran Heathcote

Our members in DVLA have been sharing why they are voting yes for action in the PCS postal ballot, which runs until 10 November.

PCS members who have been engaged in sustained strike action at the DVLA to make their workplace safe were congratulated by TUC Congress.
