The new policy has been imposed on staff, when previously there had been no requirement to spend a specific amount of time in offices, following the move to home and hybrid-working.
Management is insisting that the members should be present in the workplace for at least 40% of the working week.
114 members of staff working at Doncaster Crossgate were made redundant on 30 September following the closure of their office. The MP appeared to be ignorant of the closure and redundancies.
In a debate at its group conference today, DWP reps agreed to re-ballot members for strike action after narrowly missing the 50% legal threshold in the most recent ballot.
The ballot results for strike action as part of the PCS national campaign were announced on 10 May.
