The Public Accounts Committee is currently holding an inquiry into the civil service workforce, looking at how the government recruits, pays and performance manages its staff.
We are encouraging individual members, reps and branches to get involved in fighting the government’s plans to force staff back into offices.
Labour MP Beth Winters MP secured the debate which included several mentions of PCS, the DWP staffing crisis and our ongoing campaign.
The government says it intends to change the rules to force civil servants to follow ministerial decisions which go against the European Court of Human Rights.
Staff at the Northern Ireland Civil Service will join thousands of other public sector workers across health, education and public transport in a walkout on Thursday 18 January as part of ongoing pay disputes in the region.
