Following the prime minister’s announcement to lift the Plan B Covid restrictions, the DWP has followed suit in effectively lifting Covid-related safety measures for staff and jobcentre claimants, increasing the risk to our members and the public.

The UK government has scrapped Covid plan B restrictions in England. Mask wearing will no longer be mandatory in certain settings and the ‘work from home if you can’ message has been dropped.
5 January 2022
PCS met with DWP management today to discuss Covid and the control measures put in place in Jobcentres prior to the festive period were discussed.
