Suella Braverman has been unceremoniously sacked as home secretary. Our members in the Home Office will shed no tears – her tenure marked by an ever more draconian and hostile environment for refugees and our members who work for the department.
PCS has welcomed the sacking of Suella Braverman as home secretary and now calls on her successor to scrap the inhumane Rwanda deportation policy in favour of a more progressive asylum and immigration policy.
PCS is sending a solidarity delegation to Ukraine next week to meet trade unionists, visit workplaces and help deliver aid.
The PCS national executive committee has called for members to support the Palestine Solidarity Campaign demonstrations over Gaza on 11 November.
The demo outside the Home Office building in London is intended to be a celebration of unity and diversity, with the slogan ‘Unity not Division’ at its heart.
