Industrial action works, and inspires others to stand up and say ‘enough is enough’, said the chair of the PCS parliamentary group as he delivered the group’s annual report to conference the day after delegates agreed to ballot over pay and pensions.

PCS will campaign with the TUC to ensure Long Covid, when caught in the workplace, is recognised as an industrial disease.

PCS will immediately begin working towards holding a national statutory ballot on industrial action this autumn over members’ pay, pensions and redundancy terms in the UK civil service and related public sector areas.
