Last month marked the 34th anniversary of the prison release of Nelson Mandela, the leader of the South African anti-apartheid movement. Learn about an inspirational strike by a small group of Irish workers in support of this historic struggle.
Most PCS branches will by now have held their AGMs, with officers and reps elected for the coming year and motions submitted to conference, but there’s still time to get involved if yours hasn’t happened yet.
As a democratic union, all of PCS’s policy positions come from the membership, and are ultimately decided at our annual delegate conference (ADC) – where ordinary members and delegates have their say on motions which shape the future of our union.
PCS is urging members to support a demo in London on Tuesday (20) outside the Royal Court of Justice as campaign groups take the government to court over environmental failures.
