PCS General Secretary Fran Heathcote has submitted the PCS national pay claim for 2024/25 to the minister for the Cabinet Office.
PCS members at IT company Fujitsu have voted to accept an improved pay offer following a successful industrial action campaign.
The Public Accounts Committee is currently holding an inquiry into the civil service workforce, looking at how the government recruits, pays and performance manages its staff.
PCS members will take 12 more days of strike action in January and February as they continue to fight for fair pay following the imposition of an unacceptable pay deal.
Talks with the Cabinet Office on our national campaign demands continued towards the end of 2023. While positive, they are unlikely to be enough to end our dispute, and we are putting in place plans to get members ready for a ballot in the new year.
