AGM season has arrived, and branches will be busy organising meetings to elect committees, officers and develop policy. It’s your turn to have your say.
Mark Serwotka's retirement after 23 years as general secretary of PCS signifies a pivotal point in the history of our union. The election which opens today (9) is the opportunity to choose the union’s most senior employed officers.
Branches are encouraged to hold an extraordinary general meeting to make one nomination each for the general secretary and assistant general secretary positions.
PCS conference gave full support to workers taking strike action against their employers and called for anti-union laws to be repealed.
Changes to member subscriptions, including raising the rate for those on higher grades, was approved by conference.
