19 June come and see PCS at Civil Service Live in Exeter

12 Jun 2019

Are you a PCS member working in or around Exeter? Join us at Civil Service Live (CSL) on Wednesday (19 June).

Taking place across the UK until 17 July, CSL is the government’s annual, cross-departmental learning event, for all civil servants attracting thousands each year and on Wednesday the venue is the University of Exeter.

PCS is an exhibitor and is running a 45-minute workshop entitled “The future of the civil service and related areas, a PCS perspective.”

We will be spreading the message that unions exist to improve the pay, terms, conditions and working lives of members and that it is active unions who make the civil service a better, fairer and more equal place to work.

We have been and continue to be at the forefront of developing improvements around policies and agreements, such as performance management, equality, career development and progression.

Civil Service Live registration is open and we are encouraging all PMA members to register and attend. Share knowledge, expertise and experience and attend one of the many workshops, seminars and other activities that are taking place. Departments and civil service employers make a commitment to release all staff who request to go but we recommend making a formal request via your line manager at the earliest opportunity.

Events are also taking place this year on:

25 June

Motorpoint Arena

27 June

4 July

St James’ Park

9 July

Manchester Central

16/17 July

QEII Centre.

Last year more than 19,000 civil servants attended the events so there are massive opportunities for us to engage and recruit to our Professionals and Managers’ Association (PMA) and for you to discover first-hand what we offer to our PMA members. Join us as we organise to take the union’s message to ministers and senior leaders. We look forward to seeing you.

If you are not already a member join our PMA network to join and register to attend CSL.
