We are asking members to donate to the union’s fighting fund, in support of colleagues taking action on pay, jobs and terms and conditions.
Activists are needed to reinforce the message that our ability to fund sustained, targeted industrial action is often crucial to members’ chances of winning the campaigns that matter to them.
PCS is asking members to donate what they can afford – as little as £2 a month can make a huge difference.
Anyone signed up to a subscription before the end of March will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win £100.
Fighting fund leaflets will be made available soon. Please spread the word by distributing materials and informing your members via workplace and branch meetings, newsletters, websites and emails.
- Our members are under attack. A key part of our campaign to oppose the cuts is being able to back industrial action where it’s needed.
- Sustained industrial action can be hugely persuasive in convincing the employer to negotiate a fair deal. A strong fighting fund gives us that option.
- PCS members in the National Museums Wales took indefinite strike action and the union supported them financially. This resulted in an overwhelming victory for members.
