PCS has been made aware of a pay offer by BEIS in the ongoing contractor dispute.
According to Minister Andrea Leadsom the pay offer appears to be in line with the London Living Wage (LLW) of £10.55 an hour.
The information was given to the press, highlighting a further meeting with the union at the end of the week.
PCS general secretary Mark Serwotka said: “This is a welcome development and shows that strike action and determination makes a difference.
“We will have to wait to see the details in further meetings between the union and BEIS management later in the week.”
Contracted out staff working for ISS and Aramark who operate at BEIS have been involved in a 9 month long dispute over the LLW and union recognition.
