Extinction Rebellion is calling on all trade unionists to rally at Trafalgar Square on Saturday 12 October from 12.30pm against government inaction on climate change.
On Saturday 12th October, PCS will be supporting the call from Extinction Rebellion for trade unionists to join a rally in Trafalgar Square, London. This is part of two weeks of action in the UK and globally against government failure to act on climate change.
The rally will be addressed by PCS assistant general secretary John Moloney, along with other trade unionists and a school student striker. If you are a PCS member and can get to the rally, please come and meet up at the PCS banner from 12.30pm.
PCS has a long and proud history working on climate change and calling for a just and transformative transition to a zero carbon economy. The PCS NEC has declared a climate emergency on behalf of its members but it is only by uniting all our movements that we will be able to effect the change we need. Change that is rooted in climate justice for all workers, and all communities across the world.
