Join PCS OCS online members’ meeting 11am 3 April

01 Apr 2021

Work for OCS? Join PCS General Secretary Mark Serwotka at a meeting at 11am on Saturday (3) of OCS court security officer members which will discuss our dispute over low pay.

Our members in OCS are set to strike from 13-15 and 20-22 April in a dispute over payment of the Real Living Wage.

OCS has withdrawn from dispute resolution talks at the 11th hour and advised its focus is in on contingency planning for strike action rather than dispute resolution. The meeting will take place via Zoom, from 11am until noon.

To register to attend email laurab@pcs.org.uk.

Mark has said of the dispute: “OCS staff have played an integral role in keeping the court system running during the pandemic and to offer them a pay rise equivalent to 13 pence per hour is beyond insulting. Once again the hard work and sacrifice of PCS members have been taken for granted.

“The pandemic has highlighted the huge health and safety risks many low paid, privatised workers have been exposed to in exchange for pitifully low pay and inadequate terms and conditions. Now is the time to right this wrong, starting with OCS staff.”
