Make sure your PCS branch attends regional pay briefings

25 Sep 2018

PCS is holding regional pay briefings for reps across the country aimed at updating branches about our national pay campaign.

A speaker from our national executive committee will be attending each of the briefings to give an update on the pay campaign following decisions made at the September NEC meeting.

It is important that all branches make sure that they send a representative to the meeting as it will also be an opportunity for reps to discuss the recent national ballot and how we can build on the hard work done so far to win on pay going forward.

This is a crucial part of building for the possibility for future action on pay. The union is preparing for the possibility of a national ballot on pay in spring 2019, if this government remains in office, and if they continue with their current pay policy.

These reps briefings are going to be followed up by training sessions about pay campaigning which will be run in regions and nations in November. The first session takes place at our Bristol office at noon on Thursday (27) and more dates will be confirmed soon.

To get the latest information on the campaign please watch the new video from Mark Serwotka, PCS general secretary, in which he talks about the importance of members in every workplace getting involved in the union to ensure we win the next ballot on pay.
