With the autumn term education programme well underway, PCS continues to offer a range of courses to equip memebrs and reps with the tools and knowledge needed to assist their colleagues in the workplace during these challenging times.


What's On


Mental Health Awareness - Midlands

19 October - 2 November

This a three-day course which will take place on Mondays 19 and 26 October and Monday 2 November. This course will be held in a classroom with social distancing in place.


Bullying in the Workplace - Yorkshire and Humber 

20 - 27 October

This course will help you define bullying behaviours and outlines how PCS reps can help members who complain of bullying. It then looks at how branches can work to secure effective agreements and campaign for a working environment in which bullying is not tolerated.

Equality Officer Training - Midlands

20 October - 9 November

Whether you are your branch’s lead ‘equality officer’, a rep for one of the equality ‘strands’ or networks, or simply interested in progressing the union equality agenda in your workplace, this is the course for you. Tackling discrimination, campaigning against fascism, reasonable adjustments and disability rights, and tackling under-representation in PCS are some of the topics covered.


PCS Black History Month - South West

20 October: 6.30 - 8pm

Our PCS South West black members' regional sub-committee invites you to our Black History Month meeting: 'Challenging the legacy of colonialism and enslavement.’ We are delighted to welcome guest speaker, Lisa Graves, World Cultures and Archaeology curator from the Bristol Museum.


Spanish Taster Club (Teams) - Engalnd

21 October: 4.30 - 5.30pm

This club is aimed at those who would like to be able to improve their spoken Spanish. Each Spanish club session will build on what has been learnt in previous sessions and club members will decide how much you want to learn.


Mental Health Awareness - North West

22 - 29 October

This course will help you to; develop your understanding of mental health issues, identify how people with mental health conditions experience discrimination in the workplace, represent and support members with mental health conditions, and discuss the role of trade unions in dealing with mental health issues.


PCS Advocate II Session - North West

22 October

The session aims are to; develop your communication skills with members and non-members, help you deliver current campaigns in your workplace, show you how to take workplace issues forward, and compliment the work that your branch is doing.
