The email asks the Secretary of State for Transport to intervene to keep staff safe
PCS members at the DVLA in Swansea are currently taking four days’ strike action in their dispute over Covid health and safety.
Despite having the highest Covid-19 infection rates of any workplace in the UK, DVLA management have been insisting on large numbers of staff still going into work, when the government’s own guidance throughout the pandemic has been to work from home where possible.
In our e-action we are asking Grant Shapps, the Secretary of State for Transport, to intervene and take action to protect DVLA staff by reducing numbers on site. It’s not too late for him to make the changes necessary to keep staff safe and avert further industrial action.
The e-action takes less than a minute to complete but will send a strong message of support. Please share it widely with friends and colleagues.
