Are you a PCS green rep or interested in taking on the role? There’s still time to apply to attend the PCS Green Forum in Leeds on 16/17 November.
You can apply online for the annual forum, which is an opportunity for reps to learn from each other and work on developing a common strategy across the union to address the climate emergency. You can also email email firstname.lastname@example.org The PCS National Executive Committee declared a climate emergency at its meeting on 25 June. Our union is developing negotiating and campaigning skills for a Just Transition rooted in climate justice.
Completed applications must be received by 5pm on Friday (11 October).
PCS has a growing number of environment/green reps. They raise awareness and promote green workplace practices, liaise with branches on green/sustainability issues, take forward and promote PCS policy and campaigns on green/sustainability issues, carry out workplace environmental audits and help develop best environmental practice in the workplace.
The forum takes place at the Clayton Hotel and registration starts from noon on Saturday (16 November) and the forum will finish no later than 1pm on Sunday (17).
