Strikes suspended at Historic Royal Palaces

15 Feb 2019

After two days of successful and well supported industrial action by PCS members over cuts to their pensions at Tower of London, Kensington Palace and Hampton Court Palace, Historic Royal Palaces agreed to reopen negotiations which took place today (15).

PCS branch negotiators submitted a proposal to the employer based on the wishes of members to achieve a 15% employer contribution from day one, along with a compensatory lump sum.

The employer has recognised the arguments put forward by the branch officer and have made an offer that is a significant improvement and one that the branch officers feel able to take forward to members in a positive way.

PCS National Disputes Committee has considered the position and authorised the suspension of further strike action due to take place tomorrow (16) and Thursday (21) to enable members in the dispute to consider and be balloted on the new offer.
