Members at the DWP offices in Plymouth have taken their second consecutive day of strike action today (22 December).
The action has again been very well supported, with very few people crossing the picket line and going in to work.
Like yesterday there was another buoyant picket line, again bolstered by ordinary members, local supporters, DWP group president, Fran Heathcote, and staff from the PCS South West regional office.
Local Labour MP, Luke Pollard, attended to show his support. Fran and the branch organiser, Robin Nicholl, gave a brief video interview, which the MP shared on his Twitter account.
Passing motorists beeped their horns in support.
PCS will continue to press the DWP to keep the office open and to avoid any compulsory transfers or compulsory redundancies.
