Our commitment to promote equality and tackle discrimination is one of the founding principles of our union and a challenge we are taking up across all our activities.

We support the development of equality-seeking support networks made up of traditionally under-represented members.

In Northern Ireland, we are aiming to establish networks that meet regularly to organise activities and discuss issues relevant to the particular group in question.

PCS Proud in Northern Ireland

Proud is the equality group and voice of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender members (LGBT) in PCS. It is built on the principles of self-determination, democratic accountability and self-organisation.

TUC Disabled Workers' Conference

The recent TUC Disabled Workers' Conference invited people to support a petition calling for an end to cuts to the vital Access to Work fund that supports thousands of disabled workers to obtain, and retain, employment.

The petition is live and and we would encourage you to sign the petition and circulate it widely.
