PCS campaign for fair pay for G4S and Mitie security guards continues

Members will be aware that PCS launched a campaign for improved pay, terms and conditions for private sector members working for both Mitie and G4S as security guards on the MoJ HMCTS contract
Our demands include:

  • payment of the real living wage (set at £10.55 per hour for those living in London and £9.00 everywhere else in the United Kingdom)
  • increased annual leave entitlements
  • introduction of company sick pay from day one.

Our campaign continues as we prepare to launch a further industrial action ballot through the summer months. We are seeking an urgent meeting with the MoJ permanent secretary to discuss the continuing unacceptable issue of low pay for outsourced contracts and applying political pressure to secure the fair pay that our members deserve.

We are asking all members to assist in our campaign by speaking to colleagues and encouraging them to join PCS. If you want to find out more about the campaign or wish to get involved then please email us at midsbargaining@pcs.org.uk
