ARMS Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of PCS Associate and Retired Members (ARMs) living within the South West Region will take place at the Phoenix Centre [Dance Studio], Gandy Street, EXETER, EX4 3LS on Friday 1 March 2019 at 14.00.  Associate and Retired Members living within the following Postcode areas are eligible to attend and vote - BA; BH (Dorset); BS; DT; EX; GL; PL; SN (Wiltshire); SP (Wiltshire); TA; TQ; TR.

Lorna Merry, national executive member and president of the PCS Revenue & Customs group will be our guest speaker.  Also representatives from Slater and Gordon (Solicitors), a PCS+ organisation will be in attendance to answer questions.  The ARMs South West AGM is expected to finish by 16.00.

It is planned to have refreshments available from 12.30 with Lorna Merry addressing a general meeting of ARMs members and representatives from working branches at 13.00.   

It would be helpful if you would let us know if you intend coming by completing the Attendance Form (SW03A-2019).  Please Note – unless agreed otherwise the responsibility for travelling expenses to all General meetings, social events etc. will rest with the individual member.

At the meeting, we shall be hearing of the latest PCS developments and campaigns as well as electing Regional Officers and a Regional Committee to assist with the promotion of ARMs and the possible formation of local groups within the South West region.  Officers and members of the Committee whether elected or co-opted are eligible to stand for election.  Details of the members of the 2018/2019 ARMs South West Regional Committee can be found at SW04-2019.

Nominations/Motions etc. should be made using the forms SW03B-2019 and SW03C-2019 - in the case of a Nomination the consent of the nominee should be obtained first.  Please note that the closing date for the receipt of Nominations, Motions and/or Amendments to the Regional Constitution is Friday 15 February 2019
