Making a claim

To make an application for assistance under the scheme call our free legal reporting line on 0800 328 3255 between 8am and 8pm from Monday to Friday.

Although this reporting line is operated for us by Thompsons solicitors, not all claims will then be taken forward by them.

Please ensure that you have read and understood the terms and conditions of the PCS scheme before you make your claim.

Once you have reported your claim, the service team will contact PCS to ensure that your membership is up to date and covers the time of the accident. A report will then be sent to the solicitors allocated to deal with your claim.

Under current arrangements for the PCS personal injury compensation scheme, claims are allocated to either Thompsons solicitors, Ashtons Legal, or Slater and Gordon.  The allocation is based on the nature of the claim, and who the claimant is.

Claims will be pursued where there are reasonable prospects of recovering compensation at the end of the case.

You should receive a communication direct from the allocated solicitor for your case within 21 days of making a report.
